Next Album: The Chamber of Secret Tracks

Fantastic Beats & Where to Find Them is the name of the fifth album by The 8th Horcrux.

"Pansy", "In the Woods Tonight", and "The Shrieking Shack" had all been recorded a year prior to this album's release, and were first made available on the Finite Incantatem EP. The tracks were included on this album for the sake of those who did not know about the EP (which was exclusively released digitally via Bandcamp).

The remainder of the songs were recorded between January and June of 2016. During this time, Paul temporarily relocated to Hyde Park, Chicago to attend graduate school. The album was consequently recorded almost entirely in Chicago, making it the first album released by The 8th Horcrux to not have been recorded in their home state of Kansas.[1]

The album's thirteenth song, "Dumbledore Died" was originally written by Jace McLain of the band Nuclear Bubble Wrap. The song first appeared on their album "Jumping the Shark with Style" (2007).[2]
